Play in the Style of Benny Goodman Book 2 is a book of 7 original compositions in the Benny Goodman style arranged for clarinet soloists.
Each piece has been carefully designed so that even though it’s in the Goodman style, it is playable with a bit of practice and careful listening to the performance tracks. Once you feel ready to “fly solo”, you can play along with the backing tracks.
The pieces are crafted with the same authentic melodic, harmonic devices and stylistic nuances that Benny Goodman’s recordings utilized in 1930 through to the 50s. Each piece has a carefully scored jazz clarinet solo that, although more accessible to players than Goodman’s tend to be, is nonetheless authentic in its construction and style.
This product includes performance, backing tracks and piano accompaniment with chord changes so other chordal-based instruments can play along as well.
