Moto Perpetuo Op.806
About Moto Perpetuo Op.806
Inspired by the famous Paganini Moto Perpetuo Op.11 (No.6 for violin), this work is an advanced level work for Bb clarinet & Piano.
The work uses the full compass of the clarinet and requires a very practiced and accomplished level of technical and tonal skills from the soloist.
The harmonic structure of the work is based on logically-moving cycles and is excellent for developing and practicing playing over arpeggio and scale patterns.
The work comes with:
1. Two clarinet soloist parts. One is the full sized version of the part and the other, a reduced in size version with a page turn so that, once learnt, the work may be performed without interruption.
2. Two piano accompaniments. One is the straight classical version and the other, a funk styled version.
3. Performance and backing tracks in both the classical and funk styled versions of the work.
There is also slower versions of these accompaniments so that the soloist can play along with the slower version until they are ready for the full tempo version.
The Performance Tracks: (Full Orchestra with Andy Firth)
1. Full tempo performance of the classical version (145 BPM)
2. Full tempo version of the funk styled version (132BPM)
The Backing Tracks: (Full Orchestra)
1. Full Tempo backing for the classical styled version (145BPM)
2. A slower backing track for the classical version (120BPM)
3. A full tempo backing track for the funk styled version (132BPM)
4. A slower backing track for the funk styled version (120BPM)
