About Battle Hymn Shuffle Big Band Arrangement (Level: Advanced)
This groovy shuffle version of the famed “Battle Hymn of the Republic” will thrill and delight your audiences. Complete with tenor sax & guitar solos, this arrangement features punchy, dynamic brass and strong, grooving sax sections.
The level is set at advanced and it should be noted that the lead trumpet has a few high “D”s and one high “E” (with lower voiced ossia section).
Your audiences will love this seriously groovy treatment of the classic American Civil War theme.
Ranges and Technical Aspects:
Technical and Ranges: Tpt 1: Eb above stave (only once approached in step movt but there are lower alternative notes scored to the high “C#, D and Eb”)
Trombone 1: Bb above the stave. 4th Trombone: Bass but has been converted for tenor trombone.
Moderate technical and rhythmic difficulty. No semi-quaver lines. Soloists: Written: Tenor 1/ Guitar but can be opened for other soloists.
