Phrasing, Balance, and Intonation in your playing.
The long flowing melodic phrases require the player to have good breath support as well as embouchure stability.
This piece develops skills in and experience of playing a slow, flowing movement that demands total control of tone and air support.
Ranges: E1 and E4. There are no difficult semi-quaver passages and the piece stays at an intermediate level of technique in the clarinet part throughout.
