Play Long Notes with Andy Firth
About Play Long Notes with Andy Firth
Practising Long Notes is an essential part of any quality musician’s practice regime. Playing Long notes can help to develop tone, embouchure control, stamina, phrasing, articulation, and a host of other vital areas of performance technique.
“Play Long Notes with Andy Firth” makes practising long notes fun and will quickly have the player holding notes much longer than they thought they could.
Each backing track announces the name of the note in concert, Eb and Bb pitch before sounding the note so that singers can identify it before the track commences.
A one-bar count-in is given and the player must hold the note steady and confidently until the music ends.
The backing tracks have been designed to be inspiring, engaging and serve as a distraction for the player. The performance tracks allow the player to check and develop their intonation (tuning).
