Description
Arioso-Flute 4’tet (An Angel’s Song)
Arioso-Flute 4’tet (An Angel’s Song)
Level: Intermediate.
Composed in the style of a Baroque arioso, this arrangement is a great way to develop:
Phrasing, Balance, and Intonation in your saxophone quartet.
The long flowing melodic phrases require of the player good breath support as well as embouchure stability.
This piece develops skills in and experience of balancing voicing with an ensemble.
Voiced in contrapuntal moving lines and as such requires fine intonation and tone control at all times.
Ranges: All flutes stay between C1 and A3. There are few difficult semi-quaver passages and the piece stays at an intermediate to advanced level of technique in the saxophone parts throughout. The first alto saxophone solo is more difficult than the other parts tend to be, however.
Scored for 3 Concert Flutes and 1 Alto Flute
Comes with a score, parts, and full-length performance track.
Parts come as password-locked pdf and the performance track as an mp3 as a zip file.
