Composed in the style of a Baroque arioso, this arrangement is a great way to develop:
Phrasing, Balance, and Intonation in your saxophone quartet.
The long flowing melodic phrases require of the player good breath support as well as embouchure stability.
This piece develops skills in and experience of balancing voicing with an ensemble.
Voiced in contrapuntal moving lines and as such requires fine intonation and tone control at all times.
Ranges: All saxes stay between Bb1 and F3. There are few difficult semi-quaver passages and the piece stays at an intermediate level of technique in the saxophone parts throughout.
Scored for 2 Alto Saxophones, 1 Tenor Sax and 1 Baritone Sax
