The tempo, style, musical devices and melodies seek to create a mental and musical image of each particular animal.
The foreword to the book contains a descriptive and informative paragraph about each animal’s nature, habitat and unique habits.

Aussie Fur & Feathers Rags
1. The Giddy Galah Rag: The Galah is an Australian parrot. In appearance it has a grey body with a bright pink chest, underparts and head topped with a white or pink crest.
2. The Echidna Rag: The Echidna is also known as the “spiny anteater” and it is one of only two mammals living that belong to a primitive class of animal known as a monotreme.
3. The Platypus Rag: The Platypus is one of only two egg-laying mammals found on earth, (the other is the echidna).
4. The Kookaburra Rag: The Kookaburra is a largish bird with a short neck, brown feathers and a whitish head topped by a brown crown.
5. The Wombat Rag: The Wombat is a Mammal and a Marsupial that is only found in Australia. There are two types of Wombats, the “common wombat” and the “hairy- nosed wombat”.
6. The Emu Rag: The Emu is the largest of Australian native birds. Although flightless it is far from slow moving and they have been know to be able out run speeding cars and their closest living relative is the Southern Cassowary.
7. The Koala Bear Rag: The Koala Bear is only found in the wild in Australia. It only eats eucalyptus leaves and eats so many that it actually smells like them.
8. The Kangaroo Rag: The Kangaroo is the most well known native Aussie animal. It is the only large mammal that can hop and carries its young in a pouch at the front. Kangaroos are found throughout the whole of Australia and come in many different types.
